DOES MY BABY NEED A HIGHCHAIR FOOTREST?
Have you ever eaten siting on a bar stool that doesn't have anywhere for your feet to go? Didn't you find yourself uncomfortable, fidgeting, constantly shifting your position? Now imagine, you've never eaten anything but milk before, your core strength is still developing, and you're sitting on that same barstool. Wouldn't you be looking for somewhere to rest your feet comfortably, to help stablise yourself, whilst you grapple with the new concept of food, flavours and the likes of spoons. If your baby is crying, distracted, and fussy during meals, or throwing food then adding a footrest to your highchair could help.
Our footrest for the IKEA Antilop high chair provides an essential platform for your baby’s feet, enabling your little one to focus on their meal with one less distraction. Made out of solid wood, each Oak Footrest is unique, so there may be slight colour variations.

SAFETY WARNING
Never leave your child unattended in a highchair. Footrests help to build core stability, but they can also provide a platform for your baby to push up and try to get out of their seat, so you must always secure your baby with the safety harness when using the footrest. Please keep o-rings out of the reach of children, they could be a choking hazard.
